Fine thread stitchers, (Tek screws) Heads will probably pull in a few mm, only leaving a few mm of head stuck out to skim over.
 
 
Theres various threads available, for fixing sheet to sheet, sheet to light section, sheet to heavy section, sheet to wood....
 
You can get countersunk versions, for securing flooring to heavy sections, these have self drilling points like tek screws, and ribs that drill a clearance hole in the timber, then break off when they reach the steel.
 
If the length of screw stuck through is a problem, just hit it with a hammer and it will snap off about flush with the inside of the flange.Wink
 
 
If you can't convince them, confuse them.

All sorted, used the hilti I had in the shed last ten years but never once used. Cost me €40 for the caps and nails but what a great bit of kit...Bang Bang Bang job done in a minute, wasted twenty quid on useless tek screws both regular and fine threaded. Gonna use that Hilti alot more.
